This is a scene I'm working on. Suggestions are welcome.

Nice, but I find it "under"-contrasted...

Nice! The lighting could be a bit more interesting, e.g. more contrast
(as LightBeam suggested). And the sofa texture looks a bit like marble,
don't know if that would be comfortable ;)

The corner unit seems to be too well fitted into the corner, it looks like
it is actually further over than the skirting board. Also the blinds look a
bit too solid. These are both very minor critisms I know but I really
couldn't see anything else wrong with the image. A very nice image.

It's great as far as I can tell. I like that there is no TV as well. I would
put a flower in the vase to top it off.

The light's a little too ambient and doesn't seem realistic.. I would
expect to see more shadows in this room. Also, natural lighting can't
come anywhere near the power of direct sunlight, so either dim it a bit,
or make the sunlight brighter so the radiosity (which I assume you're
using) lights up the back left corner a bit.
Other than that, I think it looks great. Putting a flower or two in that
little vase would add a bit of color to the scene and also create more
of a focal point (which you may not want). Scattering around some common
household odds and ends would make the room feel a little more lived in.

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions.
This scene is a early WIP.
Like some of you have suggested, I was planing to put a flower in the white
vase... ;)
Some bottles on the corner table are going to be placed too.
I intend to model my on chairs. With a leather texture probably...
I'll post the changes when I can.
Thanks again,
Wagner

Our local shopping center has marble seats. (I kid you not!)
Oh wait - last year they took the marble seating and put bits of
stainless steel in the shape of seats on top of it. (Give them enough
time, maybe they'll come up with something less looky and more comfy!)

No they wont. If you're sitting you're:
1. Not Shopping
2. Using up a car space
The cafes will have comfy seats, but the other seats are there just for
orphaned husbands ...
Cheers!
