Hi,
I eventually added a couple of things around my Goban. The girl is Victoria
3 from DaZ and I got the pictures from the Internet. Comments are welcome !

Magnifique, Sylvain!
Only perhaps the carpet, that seems a little bit stiff, not like tissue.
The light is a little bluish, isn't it?
Otherwise, yes, excellent scene.
I am glad that the loser of the game left the room ;-)

Cool image.

However, from the storytelling point of view, I think that the girl
could use some improvement, in my opinion. I'm talking about her
posture.
What is she doing right now? Is she sad? Depressed? Angry? Is she just
collecting prisoners from the cup lid? What?
I think that the pose of the character could be more telling. Something
which shows her reaction/feelings. What do you want to express with
the character?

This is a very nice image. I can imagine why she looks sad, because the
loser is maybe her most loving friend or husband who is now angry on her.

I have one remark, the lighting is very good but i think the girl is left a
little too much in the dark. She has not enough contrast compared to the
rest of the scene in my oppinion. You could maybe play with some paterned
light casting on some part of her body.

Thank you for your comments. I will try to improve my carpet. About the
character, I spent so much time trying to find out how to dress her that I
did not really think about her pose. The main objective was to make her
look sad. Maybe if she put her face in her hand ?
I will also try to add some lighting on the character.
What would be the best for the carpet ? A cloth simulation ?

Hi Sylvain!
Great pic! Here are some random thoughts about it. I love the pose and body
language of the character, her general mood shows. About the lighting, her
body appears "greyish" without a true black at the darkest spots (e.g. her
armpit). In contrast, the black pieces of the game and even her hair do
have strong black contrast. I'm totally unfamiliar with Poser characters,
is it possible that too high an ambient value be the culprit?
Very good lighting overall, with 2 very distinct sources, a warm one and a
blueish one. Very nice shadows on the wall, thus. Oh, and this floor is
gorgeous!
The unusual w/h ratio of your picture is very interesting, the empty space
on the right enhances the idea of departure. Now, the vase bothers me. It's
fairly bright for such a "zen" setting... and it creates a distracting
focal point right in the middle of your scene. Maybe try and move it
between the rightmost frame and the door?

The woman's skin tone looks really pallid. I also get a sense of stiffness
in her pose--as if she's frozen in space--although i can't place what's
causing it.

FWIW, I think the vase is very distracting. Its brightly colored
compared to the rest of the scene and tends to draw my eye to it, as
if it were the focal point of the scene. You may want to tone it down
a bit.

Great job!

Maybe due to her hair being swept back quite a bit, even though her
head is tilted down? Too much hair spray? ;-)

Oh Yes! I like. This picture tells a story in any language. Now
Victoria must learn to lose occasionally ;)
