For no good reason I thought I'd give wings3d a try. Heres the first render
of the first attempt. It;s based on a great tutorial at
http://www.wings3d.com.br/loganindice.htm . Sorry for the distressed pose,
I just got bored staring at a plain face. I still need to try uv mapping
and I can see some things to work on, but I have to export the model in
..obj and pull out and arrange the mesh2 data by hand since the exporter
doesn't work -- so I'm content with this for now.

That's not half bad you know... The back of his head doesn't quite look
right, and the ears are a bit odd... but otherwise it's a pretty good model.

That's your first ever attempt on using Wings? Uhm, yes, so I guess I go
back and render my RSOCP, cause you don't wanna see *my* Wings attempts ;)

Great head, a few things could be improved (as you certainly know), but
I love that look and I especially like the mouth/chin-region.

Keep up the good work!
Florian
