Here is another first post. I had some problems with the
sphere-and-checkered-plane-thing, so I decided to post another scene I did.

It's simply some donuts... who doesn't like them?

Feedback is very welcome since I'm quite a beginner

Chris

I've posted the code for the textures of those donuts in
binaries.scene-files
There are only few comments, and those are in german but the code isn't that
complicated (and also not beautiful) at all.

If you use this stuff I would like to get credits for it :)

Very nice work.

One comment: The surface of the donuts is a bit too shiny for my taste.
It looks quite "plastic". Perhaps you should not use the phong finish?

If using phong, try a smaller value to make the highlight more diffuse.
If using specular, a larger roughness will do the same.
In both cases, you may try with a smaler value to reduce the saturetion of the
highlight.
Anyway, do it to best suit your taste and goal. I've seen donuts with some prety shiny
iceing.
