Or something .. ;)
Not much, just a ceramic thingy I'm designing, and I need a slightly less
math-intensive way to see what needed to be done to construct it. Done in
Wings, with a touch of hand tweaking.

What's so math intensive then? Or maybe I'm not understanding what you mean?

Well, I need to cut the clay slabs before I construct it, and since the
piece is based on slabs rotated in 2 directions at once, the trig starts to
become very little fun to do by hand. Whereas, if I just build the thing in
Wings, it'll tell me exactly how long each edge needs to be, and if I don't
like an angle, I can change it without having to start all over.

Oh, wait, I gotcha. No, I used Wings as a less intensive method than doing
it by hand. Sorry; I wrote that sentence poorly...

Interesting shape. You should use interpolate 2 on your reflection image map
to avoid that pixellation in the lower left.

Nice looking teapot. If you build it I'd like to see a picture.
And I thought I was the only person who did both ceramics and POVray.
You can see my ceramic stuff here:

As for POV I'm pretty much a newbie, but I've posted a couple of pics
to this forum recently.

Just about the oppsite, myself. I'm a newbie at ceramics; I'm taking a
class. But simple glazes are so easy to make as textures, I couldn't resist
mixing POV and pots.

The bottom surface doesn't look very efficient for heat exchange... Now I
want to see the stove you're heating this on!
Nice textures, though!
