Amazing, the boats looks awesome, especially the way the sails is draping,
sweet!
I just noticed that the houses look a bit flat.. It might be the resolution?
But perhaps adding a bump map or normal would be nice?
RL(tm) is especially busy for me these days, I haven't used POV-Ray for
weeks :-/ sigh..

Nice to see that the project is still progressing.

Its looking better and better, but despite the level of detail and in scene
objects my eye is drawn to the perfect horizontal line at the base of the
big grey building which IMO spoils it.
Are you planning to render with DOF?

Agree, and add that I am totally impressed by the degree of dedication
and persistance, the teamwork, and of course, the actual objects in the
scene. How long has this project been going forward?
But that white line is a drag.

Only since the end of March believe it or not :)

All houses have bump maps. So it should look better in a high resolution :)

You are right. Nobody touched that place in the scene yet. According to
the original
painting there is a sculpture and some people. If anybody can populate
that place
you are welcome :)

I'm afraid we will loose many details in that case.

Yeh, it takes too long... :)
I think this is usual problem for any collective non-commercial
project supported only by volunteers and only when they have
spare time :)
Anyway we are very close to the end. We have to paint boats,
populate that white spot which some people mentioned already
and add realistic clouds. Hopefully it won't take another half
year. But who knows :)
So there are still open vacancies :) and you can show your
skills and passion for POV-Ray.
Gena.

And since it is a painting, we are trying to copy, not a photograph, it
would be totally out of place.
