pic so I will not change this any more
About 250,000 objects, several tens of million triangles and about 4 days to
render.

Looks terrific!
Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Thanks
I've been trying to replicate the rock towers in the winning entry of the
spectacular landscapes round of the IRTC using isosurfaces. I've only had
limited sucess though.

I don't think you should change it.
It's a great and beautiful image as it is.
Another artwork from you (and a new wallpaper for me).
Regards.

I admire your tenacity. You have been on this mission of iso rocks for
some time now.
Your mountainscape looks particularily treacherous. A sublime kind of
beauty. The butterflies add an contrasting accent.

I like your image better than the IRTC winning entry. The butterflys add
some nice character/action (Warm Up II?). The distance mountains and the
(great) sky remind me of a Star Trek TOS matte painting. This image would
make a great high resolution print.
I was surprised "Midday in Rock Valley" won that round. I thought several of
the other entries were better, but I guess that's not unusual. I often like
another image better than the winner, sometimes one not even in the top
six. I thought Marc Jacquier's Fragile spectacular landscape was awesome.
Midday's creator, Golden Grifon, won a 3DLuvr contest recently as well, at

The grass is from my own grass generator created with help from Tor Olav and
the trees and flowers were created in xfrog mostly stock plants heavily
modified by me. I've yet to find time to really get to grips with xfrog.
