Another bubbly experiment: http://www.elje.net/bubble02_400x300.jpg
I added a floor. I guess I'll have to diminish the amount of light in the
scene. In a day or so I have a 800x600 version with focal blur (including
artefacts of course) and slightly different floor.

Nice floor but you can hardly see the bubbles.

Come to think of it, it's funny how good you can see bubbles,
considering how light and transparent they are.

Pleasing idea. The combination of floor pattern, floor colors and 
bubbles I mean.  I think there either needs to be a clear representation 
of how the bubbles intersect the floor, or else that ambiguity needs to 
be exploited somehow.

Yes... Bubbles are most of the time noticed because of their reflection, if
I'm right. Just at some angles you would see some iridiscence.
