Below is the link to an improved rendering of swiming fish
http://www.xenomechanics.com/POVRAY/swimFish301.mpg (1315 K)
the old one was
http://www.xenomechanics.com/POVRAY/swimFish300.mpg (1315 K)

At least this time the fish are not swimming into each other.
Again the swimming is simulated with a sine wave, but an
alteration from the last movie (hopefully improvement) is the head
is moving at 1/4 the amplitude of the of the tail.

Feel free to critique,

Oops, you posted in the wrong group.

Animation is nice. I don't know much about fishes, but these seem to flow
along the water rather than "swimming". Maybe it's caused by the static
finns.

Hugo

OOOPS,
I don't know how to move/delete the post sorry,

The fish may not be slipping enough, I may be able to fix it by speeding
it up by increasing the frame/second rate.
Thanks
Tony

OOps, I don't know how to move/delete.

The fish may not be slipping enough. I may be able to fix it by speeding it
up with a higher frame/second rate.
Thanks

Well, it's too late now but since it could happen again (to anyone) I'll
explain. You can only delete your own posts. If you use Outlook Express, go
to menu "message" and hit "cancel message" while you have the message
selected. It will appear not to work because OE have already downloaded the
headers, although the message is gone from the Pov server. If you want to
ensure yourself the post IS deleted, you can set OE to reload the headers.

Hugo
