What do you think?

It would look better with a few pieces on the board. ;)
Liquor bottles on shelves behind the bar.
People.
Posters/paintings/trophees on the walls.

This is a real nice room you've got so far, the image could maybe do
with a bit more AA, some of it seems to have the jaggies, and some
of it looks a bit too flat (particularly the table legs), which may
be caused by ambient light or something.
The texture on the bench apholstery looks great.

Aha! That's all part of the plan! I'm not sure if it's going to be
draughts or chess yet, I suppose the harder the better! I'm looking forward
to doing the bottles and a few glasses here and there. Trophies are a good
idea if I can fit them in, but I guess I could pan out for that. Thanks for
the idea.

The board seems to be too reflective to me

Well it should be, it's glass, ;) but do you mean that the white
squares should be frosty?

You could try AA0.1 or even AA0.0, but this increases rendering times considerably.

Board reflectivity is fine for a glass board, but I think perhaps we
shouldn't be able to see through the side of the board? I like th
pillars, but maybe leave out the one embedded in the wall. I have a nice
chess set I'm fiddling with if you want it?
