I'm very interested in your user_definned camera (patch). This is
exactly what I need. I have made my own patch which hard codes a
special type of camera. I have used my camera to produce images for a
3D hologram printer. One 5cm by 5cm hologram consists of 2500,
1024x768 images. The printer at this stage can only make single
color transmission holograms. To my amazement, once the transmission
hologram is copied to a reflection hologram it looks very good!

The bad news is with this economy the money has dried up for expanding
the printers capabilities.

user_defined actually

Is this enough for you to wait for next MegaPOV or do you need it
immediately ?

I'm not sure how my patch can make your life easier...

With different types of special cameras I can produce a verity of
effects easily. I can make a hologram that does unrealistic
things. For example with a hologram with a field of view of 90 deg I
can show 180 deg of the object by making it rotate faster than the
observer. Of cores I can hard code any of these but with your
user_defined camera it would be essayer for me to quickly try different
types of cameras.

When is the next version of MegaPOV going to come out? Will this
version be the one for Linux?

I will not be working on the hologram or related projects until mid-April.

Thank you,
Brad Paul
