Yep, I've experienced the same thing. You can solve it by using the sturmian
root solver. Eventually the problem will be fixed in future releases.

There was misconfigured polynomial solver in MegaPOV 1.0 due to implementing
other patch. This is already fixed for the next release thanks to earlier
reports.
