Looks good. But I don't know, the shadow looks strange.

That part that goes into the bottleneck should be matted or roughened, no?

Nice image.

I'd suggest rounding off the edges of the wide disk... You don't get sharp
aedges like that on glassware.
It would be nice to round off the edges of the part that goes into the
bottleneck, but as its a cone that is a little more difficult.

Round_Cylinder in shapes.inc

Looks good!

Things I especially like:
1. The sphere rounds out into the cylinder
2. Likewise with the cone

Is the wavy line a frosting as normally appears on these things to help
seal the bottle? If so, I'd like to see it moved up the cone and the
complete frosting follow it up so that most of the cone is frosted.

If it *is* frosting, it's very very cool.

I'd like to see a little rounding on the edges (as posted elsewhere,
Round_Cylinder and Round_Cone in shapes.inc)

Overall though, it really looks good!

Cheers!
Rick

It's the glass' IOR (incidence of refraction?) that stops light passing
directly through. As glass gets thicker it's more pronounced so that
although it appears clear (the thin-end of the cone), almost no light
passes directly through it, thus you get a dark shaddow. All the light
entering that end is bounced around inside and end up exiting further up
the cone at almost the same point as every other bit of light, thus you
have the ultra bright patches.

Sorry if this is a bit 101 ...

Cheers!
Rick

Check Round_Cone macro in shapes.inc

Hi,

I love glass renders.
Very nice, although I agree with Rarius about the edges.

  IOR (incidence of refraction?)
ior = index of refraction. It define by what amount the light get refracted (deviated,
bent) when
entering the material.
