Just something I cooked up today. I was looking for a painted look.
The canvas relief was added in PhotoShop, everything else is POV.

hmm considering artistic look - image is nice, but from techniacl side - 
isn't it just
plane {z,1 } with image_map ;) ?
or with pigment function (like my sign) ?

LOL, no :) But it's really simple, too.
Source in povray.text.scene-files in a minute.

Actually, povray.binaries.scene-files - it needs an image_map
