A side by side comparison of a scaled sphere and a SOR. Not meant to be fancy
just a default scene.

Hi Stephen,
THANKS. Though thats what I actually want (2 ovals stuck together) I'll stick to
Thomas'"tut" as it's easier for me as a beginer, but I'll definitely try it your
way as soon as I can run or rather jog around POV-Ray.

Regards
King George

it would help if they were both standing upon the plane. You know, a true oval
shape thinner in the upper side and larger in the bottom. You can't do that by
just scaling a sphere. But you can do that with SOR. Or a blob with 2 sphere
components with different radius...

It is standing on the plane it is only a half oval. Here it is again with the
bottom part a scaled reference.

Ah, the sphere seems to have a different highlight than the sor.
Interesting. I didn't know, that there can be differences, also if both objects
have the same shape.
The first image looks somehow like an "Egghenge". :-)

Niiice function!!
With the camera it looks like a particle spray.
I love playing with Bishop3Ds arrays. :-)
After doing that "flower" (you know ^^), I tried some other glass materials.
That's one result.
