(third attempt, something was changed in the client 20 years ago and I
still havn't figured it out)
First result in mimiking ANS synthesizer (will the MP3 upload?) Additive
synthesis using only sinewaves. Sampling the function, octaves/frequencies
along the y-axis and the sample rate along the x-axis. Just the 1x1 region

not sure why but the mp3 plays in three parts, needing re-starting (using the
Chromebook in-built audio player), will try later on a different machine.

This plays fine on my Windows 10 default player - really cool, sounds like R2-D2
playing handball on an inside court ;)
The image looks just like it sounds too, this is so fascinating to me... nice
work Ingo!

It sounded like an alien dropping a ball, and then it bounces lower and faster
before settling down to rest.
It would make a good farmer-on-a-back-road-at-night-meets-alien-child animation
:D

No uploaded file visible in the newsgroup's web portal I use.
:-(
I know, I know, I should probably start using a newsreader like Thunderbird. Is
that the way that others here are seeing the file?

There's an audio file in this post:
Newsgroup: povray.binaries.images
Date: 2021-04-16 08:21:21
From: ingo
Subject: ANS - ans_001.mp3 (1/1)
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.images/message/%3CXnsAD0E92099213Eseed7%40news.povray.org%3E
But I don't know if that is the one that the others commented on.

Thanks, that worked.
Actually, I didn't realize that Ingo had posted the file separately; I was
expecting it to be in this thread, but didn't see it.
