A little late for the big "blackout" in the N.E. US and in S.E. Canada.

I thought I could create this thing real quick Thursday night and then it
turned into hours of figuring how to go about it in a good way. My troubles
were in while looping the blobs into place (and shape). Mushy mind from less
POV-Ray'ing lately? Or I just forgot how my mind works anyhow. Ha ha.

After looking through some images using a google search I decided I didn't
need to taper the insulators smaller toward the tops. They are surface of
revolution's instead of the blob's which I had started with. Made for better
control over the shapes needed. Wires are sphere_sweep's.

Simple as I could make it, not as fast to build as I expected.  : )  Guess I
could put mounting brackets, wire bolts on the sides and other details on it
now but I'm notorious for doing unfinished things. Oh well, I'm posting this
even moreso because I haven't put anything here in a very long time.

I added something to this, based on what happened to my mother's computer
monitor and printer that same day of the power outages in the N.E. Although
she lives in the S.E. Makes it a little weird for people not knowing the
whole story.

Can all of you guess what it's about? I'm sure you can. Hint: her PC is
located in a basement room below where the real "problem" was discovered
(first, in fact), effectively rendering both monitor and printer inoperable.

Hmmm... power outage affected the fridgeration unit and stuff dripped down
onto the equipement in question?

It was past midninight : Cinderella's godmother turned the monitor and
printer into a water-melon (a Cucurbitaceae, just like pumkins)

Ha ha ha! Uh.... no. They never put a whole watermelon in the fridge before
it's sliced, and that one was fresh from the garden the morning before. It
must have been rotting (fermenting?) already, for some time, even though it
was on the vine.

I got a phone call, asking what to do about wet paper in the printer, with
no idea it was from that watermelon upstairs. When my Mom discovered the
puddle of liquid on the laundry room floor she heard the watermelon hissing
from escaping air or juice. She thought it was a little bit of ordinary
water since they never had that happen in the many years of growing
watermelons and putting the ones they pick on their laundry room floor. I
suspected heat from the garage next to it but their house is kept cool.

It was ironic. Mom had just finished putting a homemade Windows wallpaper on
her monitor which was of a watermelon we had at a gathering of friends and
family a few days before. Until she gets a replacement I gave her my unused
monitor and she changed that wallpaper picture immediately. I think she'd
hate to hear what Philippe Gibone said about Cinderella and the stuff
turning into a watermelon.  ;-)
