Not being able to duplicate your image Andrew, I took a different route
and came up with this.

Made me think of The Abyss (the movie).

I posted the code in povray.text.scene-files

This is actually pretty dam cool! (Not sure about the water colour -
a bit mirkey...) Actually, I'm half thinking about doing an animation
of my bubbles... will post the results [if they're any good!]
