Prob 1 & 3

The following seems to work :

- use a regular torus with a larger inner radius

torus{RMax,RMin*2

- and then clamp the density function

density {function { min(max(fn_X(x, y, z),0),1) }

It must have been a coincident surface problem.
It solves the scaling problem too, and it's faster !

Prob 2 : where do you use eccentricity? All I see is media type 2...

Nice clouds btw. Are you making a POV-Ray version of Gulliver's Travels ?

Hi

Thought I'd cancelled this message! I've managed to solve the problems I had
though I like the clamping function - works a treat!. The pic is going to be
the basis for an image on the phoenix bird, which, I am currently modelling
in Rhino.
