A great image, having been away for so long you should also look at the HDR
feature which would add even more realism to this image.

Thanks. You mean using an HDR as a light source? I've thought of it but
never tried. I might use that feature for a future render, since this
one was only a test.

Hi Anthony,

not only that your scene rendered fast as you mentioned, but it also looks very
nice. When looking at it, the colors have different emotional responses.
Interesting. I really like your beautiful scene.

Can you do a large version of it? The only change I would want it to remove
these little star-cutouts, but that is just me. Others mighr like them a lot. I
want to use your scene on my 16:9 desktop as background.

I wonder of the scene would look if all these colored golf balls would be made
from glass and not opaque plastic, wood or ivory. Wanna give a try?

Sven,

Thanks for the kind words.

Well, it doesn't render as fast when doing a larger version because all
the radiosity artifacts appear. So I messed around with the settings for
a while and got better results.

I tried different materials like glass and chrome but they just don't
look good.

Here's a 1920x1080 version. I left the stars alone because that was part
of the original design for the stands.
