Hi(gh)!
...so I created a large (101 by 101) and a gigantic (1001 by 1001) maze
with GIMP (both attached here), color-coded the exit points in red and
then programmed a small POV script to generate arrays from these PNG
image files (also attached here)... which in turn are read and processed
by my improved maze finder, originally from David Gemelli.
Next will be the walk-through animation (o.k, not for that 1001 by 1001
behemoth!), and to prepare this, I have to enable real entry points from
outside, i. e. paths starting at gaps in the outer wall!
See you in Khyberspace!

Cool. Been following your maze-with-solution posts as a project I hope
to get to near-ish term is a rock wall maze on rolling terrain as a
single isosurface...

Nice. Now you can populate the maze with people...
;-)

That would be a massive task... I never seriously tried modeling human
figures throughout my POV-Ray life up to now!

At the scale of those images, simple stick figures or billboard stand-up
would be more than enough.
