Investigating, but I think I tracked the offender... Waiting to take him
red-handed. :-)

Hi to the crowd,
thank you all for the suggestions. I will consider them all. At the
moment I have only changed the textures to the trunks of the high palms
and the ferns to have them more palm like and not so white (and more
concrete like) respectively. I think I will leave the leafes of the
palms as white as they are. But I have little spare time to work at the
project at the moment only.
Next steps: Getting a dents structure to the trunks of the fan palms and
isowood for the path.
Intended: Adding a buttress rooted tree in the foreground to the right,
test for some structure at the end of the path, SSLT for the skin.
Best regards
Michael

Won't make much of a difference at that distance.
It will have an effect on how diffuse behaves at glancing angles, which
might make a difference, but in v3.8.0-alpha versions of POV-Ray you can
also achieve that effect by specifying `fresnel on` at the finish level.

Fascinating. It makes me want to explore some aspects of Area X from
Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach trilogy.

I assume you address the SSLT issue. Yes, the gain will be small most
likely, and may be not recognisable. But a try will not cause any harm.

Sorry for the delay, but RL issues distracted me a while. This is the
current version. I implemented most of my intentions, the structure at
the end of the path is still pending only. And as ever, Clipka was
right, SSLT showed a very small effect to the scene, but to the worse.
Best regards
Michael

Even if no one takes notice, here is the final image within this series.
I added a maya pyramid at the background.

We took notice, we did :-)
Well done indeed. I have been unsure about a specific background but I
must admit that it adds something to the scene.
