It is a utility create and view df3's. You can load a df3 into an OpenGL 
screen and examine it in real time.
It was written with PovRay in mind.

same data, color_map with 20 entries (cycling thru 5 colours), with
blend_mode 3.

given the subject, that's the image I ought to have made/posted.  yet

The documentation is iffy. It might be okay if you can read Japanese. 
The English is basic, just a short description.
