Things have been very quiet here, including my rare visits to Gancaloon
(last in 2013 I guess). Going back there, I had the nice surprise to see
that they were building a new theatre. It is far from finished but here
is a glimpse.

A nice start. I hope you smooth the seats or there will be some sore
botties. ;-)

In those theatres, peoples are expected to bring a small cushion. Also,
if you don't have one or have forgotten yours, there are always some
merchants on site who can sell you one for a reasonable price. It's also
possible to rent one if you wish.

That's true. If they had been selling insect repellent I would have
bought some. When I went to an opera in Pula a few years ago.

Gancaloon's theatre is reputedly insect free, they say, but I do not
have it from my own experience. We shall see.

The builders are thinking about it. The costs, you know, the costs!

Nasty. Did you enjoy the opera despite them?
I remember watching Rigoletto in the arena of Verona, as a boy.
