Follow your instinct. If you don't like something, leave it for a while
but come back to it later; if you like something, leave it and turn to
something less familiar, more disturbing. To use a hype term: keep out
of your comfort zone.

The main problem I have with this though, is that it can drown in pure,
sugar sweet, sentimentalism.
