16-channel spectral render of a chrome sphere on what would appear to be
a non-checkered plane in a standard 3-channel RGB render.

While the tiles appear to have the same colour, illumination with
narrow-band light sources (here red at ~730 nm, green at ~520 nm and
blue at ~430 nm) reveals the difference.
