You can actualy have partial transparency. You only need an object thin 
enough.

Not bad ... similar to what I trying to achieve with the rose petals in 
my last post. Cool feature isn't it! Oh yeah ...hint: If you are using 
radiosity don't forget to include  radiosity on  in the subsurface 
statement in the globals block ... mentioned near the end of this section:
