Returning to Gancaloon. One of the main actors of the drama is
Timurtash, the Satrap of Gancaloon.

Nice pose, bad white fingernail. :)

Btw, Thomas, Gancaloon is entirely your creation, isn't it? At least google
seems to think so. Can you tell more about the place? :)

Thanks, and no, not a bad white fingernail: the texture is correct and
identical to the body (except for the normals). Orientation and
reflection probably make the nail lighter than expected.

Gancaloon is indeed my own creation. It is the site where my Tale of
Iskander is located. I attach some pieces of text I have been writing
about the background of the story.

Enjoy! ;)

Interesting alternate history with bits from Dunsany, which also inspired
Tolkien. I've read a few stories from A Dreamer's Tales BTW...

I Like Dunsany, especially his earlier tales which I think are more
original than is later work.

Alternate history is a fascinating intellectual exercise. I got also
ideas for this from the reading of Stephen Runciman's History of the
Crusades which masterfully exposes the extremely complex geopolitic and
cultural developments of the ancient Middle East (as seen and
experienced from all involved sides) and of which we still feel the
echoes today.
