Thank you both!

I can see why textbook covers were on your mind, yours
at least *almost* made it on a magazine cover ;)

Although I'm wasn't quite happy with the way the diagonal
shadow lines got jagged by the cubic holes, it looked
a bit as if they had aliasing artefacts ...

Here is a cleaned up version with different light,
also a bit smaller and only level 7 sponge.
