Excellent indeed!

I am interested in the media characteristics. Its aspect is much better than 
what I tried to achieve in my Paris night scene.

media is very basic. here is my code :

sphere {
  0, 1
  pigment { rgbt 1 }
  hollow
  interior {
    media {
      emission 0.05
      density {
        spherical density_map {
          [0.0 color Black ]
          [1.0 color Coral*2 ]
          }
        }
      }
    }
  scale 16
  }

from my experience, I found that effects (media, radiosity,...) are 
dependent on the "dimensions" of the scene.

Yes indeed. A useful trick for scattering media  - which you probably know - 
is to divide the scattering color by the amount of scale used for the media 
container. That way it always looks the same, whatever the size is.
