...but not yet there.
This is for the time being the last look into Vermeers atelier. Still a
lot of work left (e.g. the bass viol needs to be reworked to match the
detail level of the virginals and the chair) but one of the nice things
of being just a hobbyist: no deadlines and I can switch to something
else whenever I like.
Nonetheless any criticism is greatly appreciated as sooner or later I
will come back to it - and I assume it will not last 9 years again ;)
As a side-note: POV 3.7 SSLT does not (yet?) work together with
radiosity therefor for the pitcher scattering media for some SSS effect
is used.

This looks like an HOF image in the making to me :)
I would suggest changing the camera view so that everything is not so
symmetrical.
And move the smaller painting higher up away from the lid - someone's
going to knock it off by accident ;)

VERY impressive Ive! The cloth is gorgeous and, well, *everything* looks great.
Really nice work all around. I've had a lot trouble with SSLT and radiosity too,
lots of ugly artifacts. Nice workaround with the media though. Looks to me like
this is destined for the HoF.

Actually I can move the camera freely around within the room as it is
completely modeled, including the door, the ceiling and the draped third
window.
But for some reason from the various shots I did this time, this is the
one I like the most.

thanks a lot, greatly appreciated

I did use scattering media quite a lot for SSS in the past but it has
its limitations and it is sloooow. But some quick tests with the new
SSLT feature do show also limitations and it is sloooow.
And yes Christoph, I understand it is in an alpha state ;)

I just hope nobody knock the mirror off by accident! If it was a painting
it would still be fine after a fall :)
