Hello folks
lacking inspiration but bounded indoor by the hot weather, I unburried an
old scene.
I rebuilt the aqueduct, recoded the growth of the papyrus plants, fixed
uv_mapping on the palmtrees truncs and added some human presence
comments, critics and advices are welcome :)

Very nice! I love the lighting and mood. Is that even some foam I see on the
waves near the shore!? Great job!
For next steps, I think the aqueduct could use some grunge and a bit of wear and
tear. I looks like it's new construction, which is fine, but to me, I think it
would have more interest if it felt like it had been around a while. I think
the palm trees look a little too straight to me -- I don't live near palm trees
though, so maybe that's realistic.

The lighting is just right. You've captured that peaceful time of the evening
very well. And Phoenix canariensis is one of my favorite palm species.
A couple suggestions might be to add a slight texture variation to the water
wheel, and it looks like the mortar between some of the stones is blurred out in
some areas. These are really minor points, since the overall picture is
beatiful. The plants are especially impressive!

Thank you I'm quite happy with the mood and the lighting :)
But the white crests -though they are welcome- are not intended and I don't
even know where they come from (specular?)
The wake is a height_field csg'ed (difference and merge) in the river plane.

The aqueduct is suposed to be brand new... maybe in the next version some
years in the future...
There are some palm trees by here (very temperate climate) but not so tall
I made those after pictures like

Now I realise the trunk texture is wrong, just wait 4 more years or maybe
less :)
But they are rather straight aren't they? :)

peaceful hours after(or before) 'oven' hours were where I aimed to.
The Phoenix were supposed to be dactylifera but I must confess I was to lazy
to grow date grapes

The blurred mortar must be on the pillar on the left of the building.
There it is a mere bump_map and aa did a mean job there.
the rest of the mason work is made of height_fields. Once again I was too
lazy :-/

About the papyrus I juste changed the way one plant grows and the way it has
variations in growth

Excellent! I feel a bit fresher already :-) Nice work on this revisit.
Intriguing, the guy running through the noria gallery...
Maybe, in the distant future, you can add some small white buildings in the
background somewhere, and a few water birds?
