Both the full image, and a detail shot of just the rings.

Lovely "rainbow" :)

Is the source available?

I'll post it when I get home (in about 8-9 hours). I've still got more changes
to make, but the essential composition is done.

Has anyone tried subsurface scattering for paper? I'm thinking I'll give it a
go tonight :)

Really nice - it took me two or three glances to notice that the spotlight has a
heart shape. On the detail shot, though, what immediately jumped out was the
words "think evil" in the rings. I'm sure that's a coincidence though.

No fair posting photos!

The composition is very nice, and I like that the heart shaped light
seems to fringe on the edges. From the soft pink through what looks
almost green out to the blue on the paper. It could just be a
compression artifact, but I like the way it fades.

When I really looked at it, the depth of field threw me a bit. Look at
verse 27 on the left page, verse 4 on the right. It seems to come out of
focus as the text hits the middle of the fold, and back in focus at the
edges. It makes it look like the book is a lot deeper then the picture
makes it out to be, if that makes sense.

Now I'm spending way too long trying to figure out a way to do that in lens.
