The flare looks nice, but I have no idea what I'm looking at. Maybe I should
have taken Latin after all.

Ok, but I'm still lost--Am I looking up at it from below?

Yes--the machines are supposed to be ~40 feet tall.

I didn't realize that the image was so unclear--I may have to rethink
this. Thanks for letting me know.

One major known problem with supporting V-class is the complexity of its
PCI bus adapter (EPIC and SAGA). Support for the V-class isn't going to
happen until some really masochistic person who has access to a V-class
is, uh, challenged by this.

It is mainly because the machine appears out of context, as it were. There
is no reference point to compare it with and the flare doesn't help either
:-)
That said, I think that a few tree tops, a bit of sky, and a less pronounced
flare would do the trick. I am intrigued by this machine and would like to
see more of it. Wandering mushrooms indeed!

a few persons leaning on one of the legs?

You know you've been raytracing too long when...
you ever saw a beautiful scenery and regretted not to take your 6"
reflective ball and a digital camera, thinking "this would have been a
perfect light probe"
