Here's the image that resulted when I finally got the SDS macros
working. The light is from a 4x4 jittered area light, and the image was
rendered with 16 samples per pixel.
The original mesh (which I downloaded as an OBJ file and imported into
LionSnake to texture and export as a POV-Ray .inc file) has about 3000
faces, and was subdivided twice to yield about 48k faces. On my Athlon
XP 2400 box this rendered at over 500 pps (I'm happy with 64 pps when
rendering animations).
