Here's another attempt at landscapes. I feel that there is still something
missing from the image to make it feel the way I want it to, but I'm not sure
what it is yet. I want to add genuine media to get a nice, moist, morning
mist. I generally stay as far away from media as possible, so if someone with
some experience might suggest a good starting place, I'd be much obliged.

Really, Really nice Kirk. The colors are so saturated it looks rather
alien, especially with the purple sky reflecting in the water and the
bright green shoals. The trees are absolutely fantastic though.

try a stronger fog to bleed out the colors. They are too saturated, as
Talbot says.

Actually, I intentionally boosted the saturation. I guess I'm not trying for
photo-realism. I want it to be more like a painting, and I'm more concerned
about the effect and feel of the picture. In any case, I appreciate the input.

Perfect.
If you've got plenty of time try to add a focal blur :-)

Hi;
I think that this is an absolutely great image. Just a couple of picky
things based on what I've seen here in New England. First, our river banks
are dirt instead of sand so I think they should be a medium to dark brown.
Second, the grassy hill on the right of the image wouldn't happen here - the
soil would have eroded into the river millennia ago leaving just a bare rock
outcropping. Finally, our air isn't quite brown, yet :-) Still, a great
picture...gjw

Very, very nice.
Perhaps something on that bare outcrop as a focal point. A watchtower, a
rocky outcropping, a massive tree, something like that.
Are you perhaps willing to share the source of any of these?

These images all look good. This one shows a weakness in the lack of detail
on the ground itself. If you had some way of placing foliage like grass and
some bushes, and an occasional rock, it might look better.
Do you have some sort of post process "glow" on this?
