This is a mesh model I have been working on. I used Jaime's
Studio-lighting include files to set up the test render. I simply put
my model into Jaime's default demo scene, and adjusted the camera
slightly. With two-pass radiosity it came out pretty well, I thought,
considering the ease of making the lighting setup.

I prefer the first one (just kidding ;-).
Very impressive model. Is it a copy from a real-life model, or pure
invention?

Real, not invented. The shoe is by Naturalizer and is entitled "Canary"

That's splendid!
Now you just have to find the adress of the lady who lost it in your cab ;-)

Thanks Marc,
Have yet to find a shoe back there.
Saturday night four elaborately dressed young women get into my cab.
I'm not sure if the boas and perfume is just a bit exaggerated or they
seem the tiniest bit awkward in their 9 inch platforms but they are the
nicest people I've met all night. As we grind through traffic near
Gramercy Park (Andy's old haunts) they all sing me Happy Birthday (it'd
been the day before; we've come to the subject when the one in front
asked me my astrological sign.) I thanked them with humble and very
real gratitude.

That is really beautiful. It would fool most people into thinking it was a
photo. Including me! I'm amazed by the intertwined straps on the upper
surface. By all of it, in fact. This will be one of those POV-Ray renders
that I'll catalogue away, as inspiration to improve my skills.

Jim,
As we all expect from you, another of those subtly perfect renders of which
you have the secret. The studio setup certainly helps, but the professional
modelling stands out up to the stratosphere. Excellent work.

Amazing job! It's so detailed, the stitching looks fantastic. And I like
that shiny red leather too.

This looks like it could go up to billboard size and still look like a
photo. In fact, I can imagine putting a department store name next to it
and it being an acutal billboard :) The stitching looks wonderful.

Gulp! You've done another one Jim. Will you please tone it down a little?
It's making me reach for my Wings shortcut. ;)
Jokes aside, that's absolutely fantastic! You know I like my modelling
Jim, and well, that image just beats the pants off me for modelling,
artistic, and probably technical too.
How did you do the stitching? One model duplicated several hundred(?)
times?
(Before sending this, I just looked at it again, and I'll repeat the
gulp).
