Hello everyone. Here is my latest render. The background is an IFS
fractal made with Apophysis. The snail and log were modeled with
LightWave. I used an updated version of my luminous bloom code to finish
it up. If anyone is interested in the most recent version of the
luminous bloom code, I will provide it. Happy rendering!

Beautiful!
Excellent use of Apophysis. I have been playing with it and I love it.
Please! Your bloom code is irresistible!

It's a great program. I found it helpful to limit the types of
transforms generated by the random batch. This way I can get results
that are closer to what I want.

Just dropped it in p.b.scene-files. Some extra info about it can be
found in p.general.

A wonderful and truly imaginative image, as usual!
Thanks for sharing the source for your latest luminous bloom effect. Version
4 is much easier to use, without so much trial and error. The effect is
similar to the diffuse glow filter in Photoshop but with a much more
dynamic range.

That looks great. The only thing that catches my eye as a little off is are
the eyes. They don't look as full of life as the rest of the image does.
nice work though!

It's good to have such an effect without using another program. This
hopefully satisfies the so-called POV Purists :)

Thanks! Yeah, the eyes bother me, but I don't know what to do about it.
Any suggestions?

I think it's the fact that the eyes are not covered by skin: it seems to
add a alien-like feel to the snail. Great image and effect, BTW!

Yep, some kind of eyelid covering about 2/3 or if maybe. It's also hard to
tell what the snail is looking at. What do snails look at anyway, food?
Maybe a succulent little leaf? This reminds me that I should see "A Bug's
Life" again.

Oh yeah, without eyelids, the eyes are rendered almost expressionless.
Thank makes sense.
