Look simple?

A quick idea for a shirt gone horribly wrong when I found the perfect
font, Space Cruiser[1]. Unfortunately the font is ROUGH looking with
lots of sharp or sloppy corners, so I modeled each of these letters from
scratch to look like the Space Cruiser font.

... And some say my talents are wasted. :)

I don't want to put TOO much goofy stuff on here, but besides the round
thing, this is the most PIBish render I've done in a while. Last of the
(relatively) quickies for a while, I think. It does feel like time to
blow out the cobwebs in my head.

Considering your description of the image's creation, I'd say no.

No, they are not. Simply exercising one's talents is enough, IMO.

Was this image post-processed? I see some areas which look suspicious.
They are highlighted in the attached image. Not that it matters.

The lower layers are semi-transparent. The space between the 'M' and 'O'
of 'MOTHER' looks sloppy here, but this is only an issue in the censored
version. Looks cleaner in the original. I haven't ordered the shirt yet.
Might do away with the semi-transparency all together. My wife preferred
it, but it's not her shirt.

Wasn't POST-processed, but was processed. Gimp was used to combine the
layers. This could have been done in POV-Ray but would have taken longer.

I usually keep a special POV file for things like this. Such a file is
also useful for developing textures.
