Sometimes I have to wonder about myself. Spent a full 12 hours getting
them JUST right. No food, no drink, no TV, no Net, no guitar for 12
hours. Not for nothing. I am going to use these for a real world project.

It's no wonder I don't post more often. Here's hoping I'm as happy with
them tomorrow.

The Spades and the Hearts look excellent and the Diamonds are good also, but
I think the lobes on the Clubs are too small.  Increase the radius to make
them fatter...

I think these are nice. One could argue about details, but much depends on 
the edition you use. I have a deck just here that is slightly different (a 
broader foot for spades and clubs for instance).

I'm having visions of Casino Royal all over again...

For those who haven't seen it, the Bond intro sequences are hypnotic 
again. And this one features lots of line art and people shooting hearts 
out of guns, people bleeding diamonds, guy gets shot and shatters into 
spades... that kinda thing.

I agree - I have a deck of cards around here somewhere that I bought in
Russia and the club looks very similar to what Shay has done here.

Time flies when your in the zone, but you can achieve great results!
I love the feeling when you are really, happily finished with a model or a
scene. (Yes, it has happened to me once...) Nice job!

I *can* do sexy. I actually really like sexy, and Andrew's mention of
'Casino Royale' got me thinking about it. Here are two sets: my original
with an altered diamond and a "sexier" set. Both are pleasing to my eye.

The top set are, however, the better for what I am doing. As suggested
by the color scheme, these will be used for a wood inlay. They do have
the expected flares but are noble, restrained, and nearly rune-like. The
heart suggests loyalty and character as much as love.

Compare these to the bottom set. The bottom set is curvy and
eye-catching. The bottom heart is a pleading heart.

These are the types of things about which I think when working for
twelve hours on a simple model.

Very nice!  I started working on a POV-Ray card/poker related image at one 
point, but like most projects, I never finished it.  Anyway, I had resigned 
myself to simply scannnig-in some cards that I have, rather than trying to 
do the suits and designs of the cards by myself.  I really like both sets of 
these, though.
