Thanks to you all :)

	There is actually some radiosity (on the white tiles) and some 
reflection (on the white tiles too). And it is going up! I'll try to 
improve on the lighting.

Usualy, the sphere is suposed to be reflective. After all, it's "Reflective 
Sphere on Checker Plane"
