The hull's a superellipsoid <.1,1>, the whole boat's CSG.

Maybe you could borrow Tim McMurdo's ship, if he'll trust it to your rough
seas after all the work he's put in on it.

Actually I was just making an arbitrary Jaws reference, I don't actually
need a bigger boat.

I think the waves are way too small (when compared to the life-belt)...
at a wind force able to sink a ship, they should be at least six times
(!) higher!

You're right, but from a compositional point of view I can't make them much
bigger or the ring much smaller without having to completely adjust the
layout of the ship, so I think it must have sunk for some other reason :)

Incidentally I was the first one to use ridged_mf in pov-ray to model
sea water. At that time I saw the last post of Dan Farmer in this forums.

Tek, you've got better results than I did. Congratulations.

And keep the great work

Cheers.

Ok, that couldn't be otherwise. After posting this message I saw the p.
general thread and there are a lot of post by D. Farmer. Nice to see old
users dropping by.

I'm sorry for the person who lost the boat. Did they all make it out
alive ?
