Some changes
A point of vue a la Gaspode ( a little bone for this good little dog? ;-p)
A house in the background
cobblestones on the street and a try at a ground fog (with not enough
samples)

Interestingly, in 2001 I made the attached scene. At the time I didn't know
about Gaspode (or Ankh-Morpork either).

Well as I changed nearly nothing to your houses (brick wall is a
height_field and I tuned ambients to 0) they really are the same.
Your dog is cleaner and healtier than Gaspode but he is obviously waiting
for the delicatessen to be placed on the stall. ;-)
This scene could be happening at twilight not too far from mine :-) good
mood

Thank you :-)
I'll have to work on the jaws though, the poser model lacks details there

Mort is an aprentice of Death in the so named novel, not Death Himself
though the 4 Horsemen of apocalypse give him this nickname.
Indeed in french he is called "la Mort" but stays (kind of) male

foreground give me the impression of a ghostly figure in a cape. Through a
glass darkly. Very nice.

Getting better and better. The shape of the light in the lamp looks too much
like an electric light bulb. I think a candle or a magical glowing sphere
might look more in place.

In strange ways, the Reaper succeeds to be present in images like this :-)
