My assignment called for me to remake the king of hearts playing card.
I took a pair of king penguins and used the negative space behind them
to make the heart. Penguins were modeled in Rhino, and because of the
camera angle I got away with planar mapping. Here's the face side of
the card without the labeling.

Wow, I really like the composition, and the penguins are well modelled.
If I can just have one criticism, then I think the waves on the water
should be a little softer to match the soft colour scheme.
I like the choice of colours, too. It certainly has a playing-card feel
to it, but I can't say why.
