Today I've stumbled across two really familiar looking crop circles.
Strangely, they floated in a pitch black void, held together by nothing but
imagination ;)
Made by a "generic crop-circle macro"...

I saw the post in offtopic and I knew this was coming. Nicely done!
Now let's see it in a full scene like those photos.

i actually think it looks quite good, maybe i'm biased though as that's how
I expected people to try this when i saw the firefox one in p.o-t.
your flattened areas look like various amounts of white paint on a canvas,
but still it gets the idea across
