With ammo. (Still needs belt and rear hand grip). I'll post the SDL when
it's finished if anyone wants it.

Hand grip?!
Don't try firing one of those for real - you'll break your pelvis! Nevermind
it being practically impossible to even lift the 20mm version off the
ground for the average human.
Seriously, a very nice model... throw in some textures and it could look
really cool.
Did you use a modeller or straight SDL? Very impressive if it's just
straight SDL...

Hey, they can too be lifted! I've seen Arnold do it! ;)
Anyways, model is looking good. Maybe u should add something to physically
hold the ammunition together..?

Ok, that's a .22 rimfire version, but the GAU-2B/A is the smallest
military version of the minigun, firing 7.62MM rounds, and I think it
can still be fired from the hip.
Here's a guy firing what I believe is the 7.62MM version:

It's on a tripod but it looks small enough to lift and fire from the hip.
Here's lots of other pictures:

Yes, I want to add some screw heads and other details.

That was modelled by hand, as was the ammunition. I don't like using
modeller programs because the output code is too unreadable and I like
to be able to go into the files and make small adjustments by hand.
By the way, this model can be used in animations. The barrels will
rotate and the muzzle flash is in sync with the top barrel. I plan to
have empty shells fly out of the ejection port in sync with the rest of
the motions.
Thanks for the comments!

Yes. Next on my list of things to do is to make the flexible ammo
transport/belt. I just wanted to add some of the shells that I made
and I got a little creative in laying them out. :-)
