Greetings! All 3D models were made with POV-Ray, and even hand-written!
The space background and gas planet FXs were not done by POV-Ray. The
huge space carrier isn't finish yet, the two carrier bays still lack
details and surface structures, as well as internal bay structures.

It's very good, but a little dark (of course space is dark :-)
and difficult to make out.
I had to gamma it up to see it on my monitor.

Hi Bill,

thanks for your response. The original rendering was, actually, lighter, but
in order to give an atmosphere of dark distant space, I apllied certain
changes (brightness, contrast, blue color increse, saturation) to the
rendering, and added of course a dark background. I wanted that the many
lights of the ship (in some ship regions) would be the only way to determine
the ship's shape.

My aim was to create a kind of "Abyss", "Deep Sea" or "Distant from any Sun"
atmosphere. An atmosphere of being lost, just lights to recognize that there
is something, you understand? The other renderings are lighter, just check
them out (all inside "Preview 03: Imperial Carrier"). Based on the
backgrounds, I had the ships lighter, colored, and so on. You might like
these previews...

By the way, I am preparing right now a "damn-soo-big" preview which will
have as compressed JPG a size of nearly 2 MBs! That will be the upcoming
"Preview 10 - 2MB: Imperial Carrier", also inside the "Preview 03: Imperial
Carrier". That monster preview doe not luck any details and has a size of
6400x488 pixels! You could soon see the tablespoon on a table near the
window inside that ship!

Greetings,

Sven
