I had this little lighting scene to see what warm and cool lighting would do
with simple objects and textures. Afterwards I couldn't resist making the
things glass-like and adding photons with dispersion :)

I get a sense of frosted glass from all of them even though the only one I'd
expect to be so is the sphere in the back. Maybe I'm thinking of ice-cold
glass brought into a warm humid room.

Honestly, I'm not sure why the back sphere looks so much more frosted that
the front objects. maybe since it's furthur away from a light, and the light
is less intense as well. To me, the cone in front looks icy but not frosted.
