Looks good - how about maybe playing with the peas a bit? At the moment they
look just a bit too shiny and "perfect" to be peas. No idea how you might
do it, but make one or two a bit flatter, with creases in them or such.
Know what I mean? I've never eaten peas that look that perfect... maybe
less shine on them as well?
All in all a good scene, there's lots of potential here to make something
really nice! The chips are isosurfs?
Regards

Wow, hey Steve, first I've seen of this. You've rendered up a nice plate of
food there. I love F&C's, too! Don't like ketchup on or even near my fish
though.
There's a photo effect appearance to the food, to my eyes. Highspeed color
film, maybe, granularity. Makes for an interesting look. And I could almost
swear I see a little steam in the center. My LCD display isn't the best.

There are 2 main things that stand out to me as needing work, the glass
material and the table and wall texture or geometry.
the food is impressively modelled, though as I look closer the lemon peel
has black spots on it. maybe the normal is too deep? or maybe it just needs
a little radiosity with normals on to smooth it out.
keep it comming

The peas as well as the fried fish still look pretty much like
plastic... I would like to make the peas less shiny and the fish should
have a more orange hue. Also the chips (we here in Continental Europe
call them "pommes frites") currently look like fresh from cold storage -
they should be of a warm yellow, even a slightly brownish orange along
the edges!
See you in Khyberspace!

Thanks Bob. Yes, I'm thinking of moving the ketchup to the far-side of
the peas... ;o)

There 'are' a few normals in that image. Maybe that's it?

Your LCD is fine, you do see steam in the form of 2 very thin spirals
using T_Grnt19a scale 50 with an ambient of 1. Maybe I should add more
spirals for the steam effect?

Well, from memory, ordinary garden peas look the same as in my image,
tending to be a younger pea, they have a younger skin...

Yes, I see where you are coming from with this. I'll give it a go.

There are two main things to be sorted out:
The glass and the wall geometry... ;)

That will probably work, but Rad isn't my strong point... :o/
