This one is part of an ongoing project I have been working on for who knows

The contrast between those high-tech visualizations of Earth and the
renaissance/medieval architecture in the background is somewhat
bewildering... and I think you placed the look_at point too high, the
foreground looks cut-off!
See you in Khyberspace!

It is, but one doesn't remodel a place because of what's on display at any
time. And I sorta like the mix of old and new.

True, I had another look at it and found that I hadn't changed the look_at
point from an earlier test I did. So another render is running :)

I think your texturing could use an upgrade, especially on the beams. Other
wise, perfect!

Looks good - I like such complex scenes!

I have tried some textures on the beams but never came up with anything that
I liked. Basically I stink at making textures :)

Aah... a museum! Remembers me when I built one too, years ago. Had to be
closed for lack of visitors :-)
I like this scene. However, there are some bewildering aspects: What
happened to that bookcase on the left? It looks like the wall is partly
going through it. Secondly, the view through the window seems to show a
landscape out of proportion somehow: The mountains seem too close and the
palm tree looks like it was growing inside the museum. Now, I don't think
that you would be able to see mountains through this kind of window in a
natural setting; the palm tree is probably growing in an inner courtyard but
looks still too close...

It may look like that but the bookcase is actually free standing from the
wall. There are 2 columns in the wall and the bookcases are set in between
these 2 columns

The mountains are too high (scale typo), not too close.
The tree (spruce btw) is free standing from the building. It's the same tree
you can see near the model building in the back of the room. Second tree
from the right.

Yes, I see it now, although the column is hardly visible as such. But then,
I see the problem more clearly (also in the other columns or wall corners)
as the mortar (and the stones perhaps?) seems to stick out a lot. I would
not like to brush against them! Looks razor sharp! Imho, it should be a bit
less....

Ok.

Oh! Nice! This is a model of the museum itself! I had not realised that!
Nice touch. A kind of Russian doll effect.
